As well as getting the DVDs edited and covers made there was a fair old stack of DVD orders to get sent off. Our bus filming days this week will probably be Tuesday and Wednesday, I'll check the weather tonight and then make up my mind on destinations.
We still have enough ex display DVD stock to make up more than a 100 lucky dip boxes, they sold well to start and then went dead. I need to clear some space in the shed and if not sold before the end of 2022 they will all go to the recycle centre. There is a choice of public transport selections or trucks.

Following a cold but enjoyable day at Detling on Saturday it was back home but up promptly to get over to Kirkby, Merseyside for the 2nd annual NWVRT members day. New members are welcome to join the NWVRT, it doesn't mater where you live membership now friends over huge areas and it was a pleasure to see many of the members gathering for a day playing on the buses, enjoying the crack, pigging out on the BBQ and relishing a more relaxed way of experiencing the results of the hard work which has gone into the restoration of a wide range of vehicles. We were able to explore the fleet at the Kirkby premises although many others are stored off site. We were able to ride on four different buses on a fairly substantial trip to Prescot and back. Let the pictures tell the story and the whole thing will feature on a DVD promoting NWVRT membership. Meeting up with friends on Merseyside for the first time this year and we have some old video to experiment with dating back to the 1980's. The annual running day is on the Queens Jubillee weekend when the usual reveal ceremony will take place and we have already have a little sneak preview! After my day battling with gale force winds and snow we had a very pleasant evening at the pub, the Black Horse at Detling, just a few minutes away from the site. We set up on Friday afternoon and had a spot of breakfast before we left the pub this morning. There were just a few buses already on site and I got most of them coming in and a catch up on those I missed plus got a few doing the site circuits. Lots of interesting buses mostly local to the region and a spread from old to new. I think that we shall be winding down our stand appearances another notch, as it is just too much to manage and the revenue nowhere near covers the outlay and travel. Not so bad on a local event but we'll see how it pans out, we have got that many distant bookings but don't forget we shall be a Brooklands next Sunday and fingers crossed for decent filming weather on the Friday and Saturday that we'll be down prior to Brooklands event. Anyway he are some shots from today, bitterly cold but mostly bright. Tomorrow is the members ( only) day at the NWVRT at Kirkby, a relaxed day I hope and looking forward to getting some footage to show you what you are missing, new members very welcome!
