Cambridge is well provided with its new buses, very high spec and a lovely Stagecoach driver who made me welcome to take shots around and inside the bus he was driving and I took the ride out to the hospital which has its own little bus station. Anyway below are a selection of photos. The web site has started working again, the anti virus found a bug on the Weebly main site which was Phishing so that has been eliminated and now all back to normal. Nothing achieved last night as it was time wasted with silly Weebly support robots. Weather in Cambridge very mixed, brolly saw a lot of use. We have relations for a long weekend so not too much happening until next week and wee are preparing for the Czech trip. I'll be putting another shed load of clips on Youtube tonight, some scheduled to go live over next few days, I need to put decent photos on them, the stills I took from the film came out the wrong size. I'll do it from jpegs and crop them to suit. It seems that my Windows7 computer will no longer open my website, a bit annoying as the editing computer is often running programmes for many hours sometimes days but i guess it can cope with more than one thing. Panic over that I haven't lost the site, back up from Weebly who power it is zero as ever. Anyway I can breathe easy. I had a good meeting with Peter Waller at OTA in Shrewsbury and have many more films to edit! Back to picture blog tomorrow hoping to go to Cambridge.
I am preparing and uploading several films in Youtube from our 2012 visit to Vietnam. We have a large number of people viewing from there and it may help revive the flagging fortunes of our Youtube Channel. I have also added to the OTA channel.
We were woken by the burglar alarm going off at 7.20, it must have been a spider on the sensor as there was nothing amiss other than being up a lot earlier than expected. After church we had some shopping to do and eventually I was able to sit down and edit the latest archive on London bus, tram and trolleybus disposals from the 1950's through to 1985. No added music other than old newsreels. Much with sound on location. It took a lot of tweaking as it involved very early domestic video footage and scenes from several sources. Hopefully all or most will be new to you. I'll get the cover done tomorrow. I've more archives to edit, the Bristol area has long been promises, I have more on Yorkshire and my 1995 trip to Ukraine which John Bishop filmed on S8 cine, at least I have the scenes to lift the soundtrack from video to enhance the cine. How about some Ukraine scenes, its been all bad on the news so here we are in more peaceful times other than tranches of land pro Russian forces had seized. Unlike all the truck events the Wythall at Gaydon was swamped in mobile fencing, tripped over it twice didn't want to end up in hospital so after 15 minutes I called it a day. Then noticed that someone has scratched the near side of my little IQ so have to get that fixed, should have stayed in bed.
