It was a fraught day getting the finishing touches to the Mexico trip for next April as the lady I've been using to book at Flight Centre didn't react quickly enough and our selected day to travel had rocketed to double the price, I think the problem is that BA are the only direct carrier to Mexico City and obviously by far the quickest route. Anyway to cxut the long story short as I want to sit down and watch some telly before cracking on with the West Midlands films and writiong Christmas cards, it was a lot less expensive ( note not cheap in any sense) to go out on the Saturday rather than Sunday and so I also booked the hotel for an extra night. This all took up quite a bit of time, then I had a linked in conference call and then rushed off to Manchester.
I also had time to look at the net and see what i could find out about the knee replacement I need , looking at materials, timings, recovery etc, some horror stories having it done on the NHS thanbkfully I'll get it done privately. After a bit of running about setting up the stand even my right knee is now giving me the occasional twinge. They are painting up the old Ashton trolleybus which has languished at Boyle St for so many years, it will be in the old livery not the one familiar from the later days of their system, hard to see how it will look but the quality of the work is first class. I took a couple of quickies whilst there so thats your show tonight about three hours later than shot!
