Greetjngs readers world wide, it won't be long before I'm postings pictures from our travels around cyprus. One thing I forgot to report on was the inclined lift or almost funicular in the troodos mountain region we discovered on Sunday. It was a Erik return fare and was built by the village to link a heavily touristed quaint section of village with the street above and open up more business a to tourism. It looked very new and I'd never read about it so I intend looking it up tonight on google. It's been our last couple day, a I went round to the local bus provider in pissouri and he took pride in his 1968 Bedford based on an original Bedford bonnetted village bus chassis, he knew about the bus near platres and had offered the owner six thousand euro but he wanted 20k, I think the old fellow was being about optimistic. I was told that an Egyptian party had toured Cyprus buying up all the Bedford chassis they could find separate for Bedford's in Egypt, a location which has been covered in the PMP a range although not visited for a whilenow. Anyway this morning I carried on to larnaka and in the complete absence of any trucks at all got some reasonable views of a the mixed bus fleets there including inter city and village buses. Tomorrow we have to leave our apartment about lunch time and will probably have an explore en route to pathos and have a look at any buses there. Had a very enjoyable afternoon by the pool, spag bog tonight courtesy sue and Mandy, enjoying a Guinness on the verandah at present.Click
