The driveddown from athenry in galway to limerick took about an hour quitea change from the oldpre motorway days. It was still cold and cloudy first thing but as we git to limerick the sun started to come through but not too much to challenge the bus filming. Plenty of sctivity considering it was a Saturday with lots of deckers about. I was surprised how quickly I got my footage enough to go with Waterford later to make up a programme. Then after meeting up with Mandy we set of South to cork on the old road and then west down to clonakilty by which time it was mainly sunny and much warmer by tea time it was a clear sky and hot. We had spotted along the coast, heaving beaches full of bathers in the popular spots. . the bed and breakfast place is high above the town and seems very comfortable we had a great meal at the Emmet. Hotel in the town. Tomorrow we investigate dunmanway town and the town land of tonamora where my father Jim's family lived perhaps we'll find some still there.
