xe were up at 5am this morning and driving through quite thick fog over to Lincoln, whilst there is a great deal of traffic for that time of a Sunday it has little impact on traveling and with the newly upgraded dual carriageway through or past Nottingham we got to Lincoln well under two hours which would have been a dream when I used to work at the oil fields there many years ago, ooops there goes that W word which I've left in the past. Quite a few changes to the set up of the bus services at Lincoln really based on the availability of neighbouring premises for parking etc and to try and make it safer and avoid the heavy pinch point opposite the museum building. I thought the parking area for visiting buses was just like a separate rally and shots at the entrance in the mist looked great. The bus services were a bit of a nightmare as there didn't really seem to be a single good photo location for all buses and even as the sun went down I was seeing vehicles in service that I must have missed all day. The rally is defined by the large turn out and the amount of people I know from such diverse parts of the country. The dates for Detling and Herne Bay have now been settled, I'll mark our calendar on the news page up with 2016 dates now several are emerging. Photos of course at Lincoln. Tomorrow household and garden chores to be attended to then early Tuesday Mandy goes off to see Hil and Sean in Ireland. John and Maureen Bishop are up in three weeks and John and I will be at the home cinema exhibition in Blackpool and try to pick up a decent 9.5mm projector. Work on the back log of films should start soon, no guarantee that there will be a lot of transport or even street scenes but i can usually sell them on again at a profit. The Paul Winson coach came back from Malta in case you thought you recognised it in another context! Comments are closed.
