It really hasn't stopped rainy for more than 5 minutes all day, what a miserable weekend for those unlucky enough to work all week. The forecast for tomorrow in Manchester is much better, it should be dry in the morning there may be some sunshine and hopefully any showers will dodge us. I've been copying films all day, nearly 15 hours worth now left to process and list on EBay plus put on my database. The policeman popped around this evening to follow up on the motorway incident which happened on my way down to film the Midland Metro a couple of weeks back and it turns out I actually had a witness to the lorry hitting me and us pulling over to the hard shoulder and then assaulting me. Actually he took all my details of the incident and then told me that someone had phoned in even before me and reported it. He was even talking about putting up a sign asking for witnesses but i felt it was all a bit over the top as both and the car were undamaged! They may be able to track it down via the ANPR cameras as he was directly in front as I entered the motorway and there are certainly cameras around there somewhere. Well we are going to try and catch the news and weather, I'm on the dross of the cine film now even two reels which I've had before. At least three are wound on the wrong way and with large 16mm reels that's a nightmare. Lawrence seems to have shifted all the tickets for the film show at Plumley village hall on Thursday and has put up another poster, the first in the new village notice board. The old phone box restored and outside the shop will eventually house a defibrillator. We have booked accommodation for the week after next in Ireland but it can be cancelled should the forecast turn out to be too awful, a small amount of rain in Ireland is a certainty but a week full would be just too much. We'll not do Dublin which i can fly over to any time, ditto Belfast and we'll cover the north with the rally next spring. We do hope to cover Galway buses, then up to Sligo for tracks over the bridge preferably in sunshine! Then back down to Limerick and then to Cork with a day looking at my family origins in West Cork back to Cork city and then Waterford. After a couple of nights with friends Hil and Sean we'll head home on the Sunday. I'm still minded to do the North East as scheduled next week but Mandy wants to protect my back which is still recovering. Finishing the greenhouse and painting the garage are still hovering for the autumn and before year end we intend to have the last three rooms decorated. The garden may need some work in preparation for my hobby room along the side of the property sometime next spring. We are still looking at options for sunshine holiday next February with enough to keep me amused!! To whet our appetites once more some Irish shots from my past trips, Comments are closed.
