I seem all set for the film show, after getting the orders ready for Mandy to check and pack later after she had been swimming we went to the Plumley village hall to check out the equipment for the film show. It turned out that they didn't even have a projector so it was a good job I had ours and really other than a longer extension lead for the electric I just need a very long lead to link the laptop sound with the console for the installed stage speakers, only took a few minutes so we carried on back home and got the DVDs dropped off at the post office. Lawrence at the shop will put up a second poster for the film show, no enquiries over tickets to speak off so nervous we'll be left with a pile of pop corn on our own! We then took my old computer down to Blakemere village on the Chester Road where the chap is going to transfer the drives to the new machine operating on Windows 7 so I can think of finally setting that up as our main machine. We carried on to Chester to Maplins only to find that it's now the site of a supermarket so carried on to the trading estate to PC World hoping they'd have a lead but opposite them was the new Maplins store, hows that for luck. Got the required lead ( at a price!). So mission accomplished we came back along the M56 and carried on down past the airport and went off to Sale and visited Mandy's cousin Trish and Derek. Trish was out at lunch but Derek kept us entertained fed and watered until Trish returned late afternoon. We called at the small M&S shop in Sale and then had a quick run home as the Friday rush hour starts early and finishes early. It's still looking mixed weather for Sunday at Heaton Park, Manchester as rain sweeping in from the Atlantic passes over in the night and Manchester is renowned for catching any rain around, really just a normal Heaton Park event! So tonights selection looking back at Manchester. Comments are closed.
