My favourite bus location was Chatham, lots of things to mention but not tonight, ready for sleep after all that travelling. Filming this week in the south to catch the hot sunny weather. Monday Kent, Tuesday Eastbourne and Hastings, Wednesday Portsmouth and Fareham. I'll cover IOW later on my own, Mandy hates the place. Here are some more shots fro yesterday at Boyle Street. Another great day out at Boyle St, prospective members note there is now a new super easy to join facility on the museum website, it took just 2 minutes to join. I know it is a hard slog but great credit to the organisation and collection there that they can really make the most of Manchester 200 years of buses in the city and surrounds. Variety all day long and if you go tomorrow there will be a different mix but just as interesting. some of the Chinese lads have cameras with two foot long lenses, I wonder what that is for you can't really miss a bus with some less exotic lens!
Nothing like having a sneak preview, our September Buses magazine advert, obviously some of the areas mentioned aren't filmed yet but will be by September. This weekend we shall be in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire catching up with Hastings, Eastbourne, Portsmouth and Fareham , perhaps more! We shall have collected another batch of films to scan and deposit with OTA. Today we look at photos I took in Bath Wednesday. I'm editing this weeks material which includes Warrington, Wrexham, Bristol and Bath. Meanwhile we take a trip to Bristol with pictures taken yesterday. Next week I'll try to get to Kent , IOW and Portsmouth plus Fareham. The weather looks good for Monday Tuesday and just about Wednesday. The following week we hope to visit the South West and then the week after that Ireland.
A hectic day filming at Bristol and Bath, backlog of films to edit and so much more coming up through to the end of July and on through August including Kent, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, IOW and then Ireland. Meanwhile our scenes from Warrington. We are really in summer mode now so lets hope the good weather holds for a few weeks as we play catch up all over the country. I had a great time filming at Warrington but Wrexham really takes the prize as at least two drivers had been watching my film today. Anyway a look at Southampton last week . I'm just finishing some editing jobs before I download the film from Southampton and Alton both of which should be ready later today. Mandy is tearing her hair out trying to get anyone at the council about stopping collecting the bins up the path and getting her car service sorted at Honda Ellesmere Port. It never ends, shambles everywhere.
I've now put the OTA Newsletter on the shop landing page , just click to open as a PDF file, you'll see what is happening at the archive and some stories behind the photographers. |
