I think it can be quite trite sending out greetings but I really can say our friends, relations, viewers, supporters do cover a pretty large part of the globe. I've spent some time this afternoon getting the next trip after Dominican Republic sorted, it will be the visit to Bangladesh put off due to the political turmoil there. The best time of year for me is Easter and that is limited by religious dates and monsoons. We may well also make an autumn trip to Paraguay but I need to spend more work on that. Anyway I'll keep it short, how about a few photos to show why I and friends think that Bangladesh makes a great place to visit, there really is so much happening out on the streets. It will probably be the last chance to see buses in action with a pedigree going back to the 1950s. Ashok Leyland no longer offer the old Titan range and derivatives, electric buses seem a pipe dream even in Mumbai, the few that arrived will soon be history themselves. What a year it has been, the worst parts were the weather and getting Sir Kier as PM plus getting robbed on the French Belgium border, I wonder if they sold it or swapped it direct for a dinghy. I'm looking forward to the Wrexham running day, supported by two buses from the NWVRT, also we are putting on a new event the Southport running Day, meanwhile our wishes for health and happiness are sincere and heartfelt. For many both will be impossible dreams. The first Manchester still film is complete, once more we have around a thousand images per film. They are roughly sorted into order but things like rallies and special liveries are always hard to place. Anyway at 1p or less per picture it rate really in the stratospheric low price band. The first volume with watermark will go on Youtube this evening. The second is now rendering. I estmate about 10 films before we finish the Manchester shots. Next I envisage a lorry film of stills. If you have any really useful suggestions on this feel free to email. We are also progressing other projects of buses which are a good bit smaller, say no more! A few more films on Youtube today plus I've made a start on the Manchester still image films which will have circa 1000 images on each volume. I start with my early images which are GMPTE days, just out of pure SELNEC by the time I began taking pictures. Anyway Monday will be a strange day really stuck in between Christmas and New Year. The weather today was just right for filming but alas nothing really on to look at. Anyway it will all start with a bang after Wrexham as the last part of the current Bee network starts not long after New Year. It has been a bit of a rest from filming and as my knee had played up it was just as well, it seems to have sorted itself out. Anyway another taste of my collection and a few B&W shots I did in Ireland back in the late 70's early 80's. I'm very busy with orders for digital downloads and watermarked copies will go on Youtube. Remember potentially everything we have or compiled should be available on Youtube although I may have to download and render to HD in real time. I've just finished Blackpool trams 2008. Nothing else really of note but I have downloaded many images which fit with the collection and operators that I already have made a centre of my interest which perhaps not surprisingly concentrates on the South east where I grew up and North West where I initially came in 1969. I am still promising a still image disc or more on Manchester area. Meanwhile yet another few Manchester photos. March 1996 in Herefordshire is now on Youtube, the quality and content are really top notch. The only bus film in the top 10 viewing over December is Bangladesh, UK bus destinations are there at all. Most are overseas programmes and the same top place Immingham trucks now with 14 million hits. The best performers over 2024 are mostly trucks including archives. The best regular UK bus coverage is the visit to Middlesbrough. The number of requests for digital downloads is creeping up now but plenty of time to catch up with your DVDs before they new editions cease in March 2028, old ones will carry on being supplied until 2030. I will try and get some more old editions of the Online videos on Youtube, could anyone with material stolen from these films please delete now as you will risk clashes with the original copyright material. I will put some on the PMP channel to sweep up these random uploads then move to the OTA channel which does not as yet have the facility to locate fraudulent copies. Tomorrow I will need to process four downloads on order so there might be some first time digital amongst it. Other than that I'm still looking at Manchester for still photo releases by January. We shall be at Wrexham bus running day of course and have two buses coming from Kirkby. Perhaps Middlesbrough is where we should go tonight for the slide show. We have another selection of Youtube films which I'll put on tomorrow after I've returned from Heysham where I hope to see some of the diverted Irish sea crossing traffic. The Youtube clips tomorrow will include Prague trams c 1993 and the Kirnitzschtalbahn trams plus early days of running on the then new West Midlands trams - all by our friend Dave Cole. I'm also hoping to put on another still image series of DVDs/film downloads. Meanwhile some shots from our Greater Manchester coverage which might well be where this still image selection will be heading. I think I've about 10k images to bring to you. , so today look back on another Christmas past. A quiet day after a noisy night at The Crown in Lower Peover, church at St Wilfrids Mobberley then enjoyed the day with our young New Zealand relatives and made the best of the mild weather and dramatic sunsets plus the very clear night sky we have experienced. We have celebrated Christmas in many countries, the slide show is from Christmas day in Guangzhou, China on a day trip from Hong Kong 1990. Weebly which powers our shop and web site seems to be coming to a halt but fingers crossed I get this out before it all goes up in smoke. I did the Christmas message unscripted and in one tape as we were in a bit of a hurry and the best way to get things done. I've sorted out my side trips in Dominican Republic for early Feb, three nights in Santo Domingo and two day trips out from the beach. All the cards are up in the dining room, the tree is flashing away as does Pat over the road only in a different way. Don't look, aaagh too late. I've as promised got a couple more clips posted on Youtube with one that's from 1995 just off the M62 in Yorkshire, super trucks then, some classics indeed. Our young(ish) relations will be on their way here from Manchester, we are all off to The Crown tonight, Christmas music, steak sandwiches and chips, yes a great start to the festivity. As I've said on the message greetings to all our viewers , friends, customers, relations we wish you all well for the season and a New Year ahead. Some better weather would be nice for 2025. Remember 2028 last year we make new DVDs the films will come out as digital downloads from then on although we'll send the existing DVDs out until March 2030. Somewhere with nice weather then for tonights slide show, all those glorious trips to Malta come to mind. I hope people have been enjoying the latest films on Youtube, enhanced yet still true to the original. too much enhancement can ruin them as I've found out, now a very light treatment is found much better. Tomorrow there will be 1995 lorries in Yorkshire just off the M62 near Huddersfield/Halifax. More buses will also go on if time permits. I also hope to publish a tribute to Roger de Boer who died recently. Meanwhile I'll go random but a destination which we cancelled this year and I hope we will reach in 2025, Bangladesh I've been up to my eyes today with services and compiling a film of the youth club's puppet service but I did notice last night that the almost random tape with trucks and buses in 1994 was filmed on 20th December so just missed the 30th anniversary but it will still fit well. Hoping to have them on Youtube by lunch time tomorrow. We've got a bottle of wine opened and thus a short post. I'm also going to post films to celebrate the life of Roger De Boer who died last week. All very random but there are many almost random posts that just stick a picture up and that it, sort of wasn't it great back then stuff. Some of it was great, I am really glad I grew up in the 1950/60's. Perhaps my earliest picture Christmas 1952, other than those that Pat my birth mother took. Perhaps this was the Santa grotto in one of the several department stores Eastbourne then boasted.
