Very much a travel and finding our feet day as we left our enjoyable stay I .Taiwan and cross via iffy sir ssia flight to Manila. I've always hated getting out through to call centres I the Philippines now I know why they are stark raving bonkers nearly every one of them. They almost sound like they may know some English but it never makes any sense but then I daint speak their language which confusingly has lots of English within it. We had a run oout on the train which took quite some time and was very crowded but as the rush hour faded the return trip was a lot more comfortable. Getting your bearings in a huge sprawling slum capital is always a challenge but there are numerous para transit travel choices. We'll start to explore more fully tomorrow which should be a quieter sunday and easier to tackle. It looks quite easy on the truck front and the docks are near and I've already seen some gems amongst Asia dross. We'll start with a rip on the light rail and metro and see if you can film, rail filming is really hard police and guards everywhere including on the trains which are about every hour. We saw the famous trolley boys who have rail trucks between the infrequent trains. At the terminus we should be able to get a shot or two. The slums are everywhere it is far worse than anything in India these days at least as bad as Bangladesh. We had dinner at the Ramada hotel very near to our hotel, absolute rubbish food and service. Will try elsewhere tomorrow.
