It was a great trip down to Kent, a whirlwind really and with a busy Sunday it is back to earth with a bang catching up. First lets rewind to our trip down on Thursday when we were up at 4am. We had a great trip down and although a bit tired in the evening we decided to go out and had a superb meal in a tiny village off the A2 in Kent. There are myriad small villages with great pubs all hidden gems in Kent. Just off the busy trunk roads and motorways there is still plenty of country side. We started the day with breakfast at the Dovorian cafe and from there noted the golden oldies of East Kent which Dover seemed to have more than it's fair share off but the arrival of the MMC buses will no doubt wipe out the ranks of these and I'll have to do it all again in August when we go down for the Herne Bay rally and celebrate East Kent RCC 100yet again. I think the double deck anniversary livery is a bit like Brighton & Hove livery and it would have been far better in the full traditional East Kent RCC colours. We filmed the trucks up to early afternoon and then went to Folkestone, such a shame that the Christian cafe cum bookshop closed their ginger scones with cream made a delicious afternoon tea and was just around the corner from tjhe bus station. I've now edited the two Dover truck DVDs and they are both listed on the shop and the covers are done. The trailers will be on Youtube later this evening. Today I've done some gardening and of course the DVD editing and covers plus getting all the orders sorted out. The list of DVDs has been updated as has our target destination list and rally sceddule, it's amazing how much we have already done. The weather for this week looks very mixed, nowhere is going to be steady sunshine. Tomorrow we have a number of tasks to do, going to Winning kitchens to kick off the order, food shopping etc. We are at the Bridgewater hall for a concert on Thursday with the Halle. I must have a look at more forthcoming dates for concerts etc and get them booked. The China trip in May looms ever nearer. It was good to catch up with our friends John and Maureen at Detling on Saturday, as John said we'll have a fortnight together in China. We've both seen our traveling companion Alan from Australia when he was over post visit to Lebanon. The photos tonight are from the visit to Canterbury on Friday morning. OOPPS the Weebly system for uploading has crashed yet again, a very poor platform for the blog and site and it's not a free one, they are typically yanks up their own bums about how good they are and keep trying new things when they'd be better getting what they have working all the time.
