A busy day indeed but not until we had a lay in bed until nearly 9am, my knee was really stiff so while making a brew I did the hamstring loosening exercises and was soon bounding up and down stairs. We have our friend Sue here for dinner, she is between trips to Portugal and Spain, next year we hope to be getting out of the col a lot more. It started a bright sunny day but by afternoon the temperature plummeted and could came over. We got the van emptied of stuff we won't need until next spring and pruned down the DVD stock to suit the limited space at Dublin Port, we should be under cover although I've heard nothing back from Ed O'Neil as yet. I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of preserved buses and lorries from the era when I worked and lived there from 1979-83. I've just about finished the images on the DVD archive of Central Southern England which lasts an hour, I need to put on a soundtrack which is just as time consuming but there is so much material that I am sure we'll fill a volume 2 on this region. What i have covers the Reading, Thames Valley A&D area and then Southampton plus some shots on the borders between Hants and Sussex. There are also brief sections on Winchester and Salisbury. I'm looking forwards to tackling some of the cine film which is now overflowing in many cupboards in my editing suite. That though is a job for dark winter days. There are some great films on EBay but the prices sought are out of this world and unless it is realistic I avoid buying. That said we've just loaded a lot more items on after the sort out in the garage, there is more to come of course and when I finally make it to the attic again I'll get a whole heap more to put on. Tonight a selection of photos of the items loaded today. I also uploaded some more photos on the Smugmug site, there are 10's of thousands of my shots there with photos available from just 50p each. It was Showbus today, I hope everyone enjoyed a dry day at Woburn, I must admit I felt smug sitting in bed at 9 o'clock! oops the upload app isn't working, yet again , missed blessing on this Weebly site. Good news was that Mandy's cousin in Wales is making a great recovery. Comments are closed.
