A good weekend where we set off early Saturday, little traffic and at Tunbridge Wells before 10am including comfort stop and fuelling just in case. I met several people who knew me, spotted in Tunbridge Wells twice. Then over to Detling and a leisurely set up, weather was by then warm and sunny. Hotel only 10 minutes from the Kent show ground, location OK but we had a learning curve should we stay there again, it was on a very steep hill from chalet to pub. They displayed a leaflet saying that booking direct is always much cheaper, actually although it was only be a pound it was not costing more, shame really as they were obviously looking to pocket a better profit but untruths. The Detling South East Bus Festival had quite a good turnout of buses considering mostly the fuel shortages in the South East and Corona plus the change of date. Despite all this it was a very good day, chilly but still and mostly dry, the sun came out as we headed home. Not such a good journey back up to Cheshire, glad to be back though tired but worthwhile catching up with all our lovely friends in Kent. We were bombarded by masses of DVD orders, some quite huge, this clashed with carpet being fitted day, there was a hiccup and it took them longer so they finished the lounge and the dining room cum library will get done Wednesday afternoon. My meeting with OTA Peter Waller at Shrewsbury has now moved to a week tomorrow which means I can attend the polio Fellowship with Mandy on Thursday at Ellesmere port. I had my telephone pre op this morning, I must admit it was on the calendar but with the carpet hiatus it wasn't at the front of my mind, Friday I attend the hospital for bloods etc. I have started scanning as we managed to move the majority of objects back into the lounge this afternoon, it wasn't too difficult and has made getting to everything we need for orders that much easier. The Detling film lasts an hour for the buses, there will be another net only version of cars and lorries on Youtube. I really must crack the Topaz editing. Reactions to the results are mixed, someone found it jerky, but then all digital images have this to an extent even at 60fps, that on Youtube was 50fps so no slouch. Others thought the images much crisper and sharp. Comments are closed.
