the forecast said that it should get better as the day went on but the reality was that it stayed quite damp other than a few glimmers of brightness mid afternoon.I was in great trepidation heading north today expecting the Scottish police to pounce perhaps we are safe in Mandy's car. we were up at 5.30am and arrived at Kilmarnock at 9.30 and eventually after driving around the townbthree times ended up near marks and Spencer's which we had seen but just couldn't seem to get to. there was a small marks and spencers where we were the only customers and had my usual bakewell tart with cappocinos . I then walked back down to the bus station which has been amended by clearing the shrubs around it giving it a much more open aspect and made it very easy for photography . it is now a top notch place to film the only real minus being the relative lack of variety with stagecoach ruling the roost by a big margin. the sequences were quite long,I got one run going for nine minutes. when I'd finished and the rain was getting heavy I met Mandy back at the car and we were soon in our way to Glasgow although no sign of it brightening up. we had a job navigating back to the disabled parking near marks and debengams but got there in the end. I took up position on the usual busy buses routes near central station with the frustrations of white vans and taxis in the way and the weather poor. I then had hassle with two dregs of local society weho decided to have a go as I was taking bud pictures what makes people go mad at this,it took ages reporting the attack and really confirmed my fears that Scotland is really too dangerous to relax in,the police said Argyll St was too dangerous to wander around with cameras and that's the main shopping road, the police lsfs came 2 on anime and then two more in a van . any way I decided to move on to the bus station and had the pleasure of catching up with one of our friends Christopher from beattock which was very pleasant and we watched the busy buchanon bus station activity and eventually strolled back on now aching limbs to catch up with Mandy and head over to Motherwell where we are staying at the alona hotel at the Strathclyde country park,a very warm friendly welcome and a free glass of wine while we had a rest in the bar and they took the bag to our room, the acceptable and very friendly faces of the s place. tomorrow eehead east to Edinburgh and then down towards the borders .
