Trawling through our dustbin towns today, it had been the weather forecasts which had put me off going over to North Links but as it was supposed to be worse here and it turned out very good I guess it was unbroken sunshine in Grimsby but then the BBC never has really got the hang of predicting our weather. We just woke up and had breakfast, I got the DVD post reday for Mandy then headed over to Widnes. It was brilliant sunshine early on, a bit boring with shoddy Arriva no sign of new identity there and of course Halton our smallest surviving municipal has no deckers but everything looks neat and tidy in livery. Then I moved on to Runcorn for more of the same mix plus one of Ashtons to Birchwood. It was a bit like watching paint dry so next I went through the traffic nightmare that sees skeletons wasted away as people have died trying to escape the labyrinth around the new crossing as if it wasn't bad enough in the first place. Rubbish traffic management sends you round and round in circles until you vanish well we won't go into that. Then to Quick Fit at Northwich to see if they could order up a pair of front tyres for my little IQ, they had some in stock and no queue sodidi it straight away and i went to Waitrose for a drink and got some more of the Irish fruit bread we have for breakfast, grabbed the last three. They reduced the price so now they never have enough and upset people who bought it in the first place at full price. Had coffee and cake then found ALL the toilets were out of order, the stupid clots why not warn people in the cafe before they ordered drinks. Then took ages to get served worse even than M&S is that's possible, surly unfriendly staff - I've numerous other gripes about Waitrose in Northwich, Chester has one that has a large selection of delicious cakes Northwich gets the crumbs. Next i went to Crewe, now it's D&G ( smart ), Arriva ( shabby) and First ( varied). Deckers from Arriva so a bit of serious stuff there but no new identity same old Arriva. D&D may have hand me downs but they sparkle in the sun! A new one was all white from Crewe running to Nantwich little something, very unremarkable but interested to see what else they do. Mikro on the 39 a Cheshire County service. I think they are mainly a school service provider except it was half term. I gave up the will to live after a couple of hours at the bus station, I'll try and tie this bit in with something else. No post at all today which is weird. The Youtube account is booming at present but slipping back a little last two days. Photos continue with yesterdays truck coverage, DVD edited but no covers done yet. More DVDs on our subscription channel which hasn't been launched to public yet. I'll get you some bus shots tomorrow. Friday afternoon we have a concert and drinks receptions at the RNCM in Manchester, we'll possibly try The Dog for dinner although if it's hot and sunny it tends to be over full with the Ferrari set.
