HOME AGAIN TO A NEW AND BUSY YEAR

Mandy decided to do the long haul home herself, sometimes its hard to get her away from the wheel. The day started fairly promptly as we were getting picked up by my sister Yvonne and Margaret at 8.30am from the hotel and certainly beat the shopping horded to West Quay shopping centre where I did my best to boost the Hampshire economy by purchasing a new travel alarm clock as the old one has finally given up after circling the world many times. The photos tonight come from New Years Eve and my visit to Oxford which should be on sale this Sunday. After shopping and refreshment at M&S Yvonne dropped us off at the hotel and went home to find that Graham who had missed out on the shopping spree waiting for a Homebase delivery of the new dining table  was still waiting after lunch. Having scored zero on every delivery concerning the new kitchen I think he politely told them what to do with themselves.

THe weather was really foul today, there was hardly any let up at all and we battled our way up the M3 through floods and road works and just made the restaurant in Chessington on the dot at 1.30 joining my other sister Janet and Jo plus Katie both of whom have shot up above us, also there was my cousin Stephen and better half Carol, Steve now has two classic cars as well as his cherished Merc and still chauffeurs several London mayors around. Yvonne, Graham and Margaret finally bashed through the traffic and weather and got there safely. It was all too soon time to head north and yet more rain and lots of traffic albeit mainly heading south. We've a few orders in the post and many on the internet, I'll get them ready to post tomorrow and its fingers crossed that I'll be able to get out on at least 2 or may be 3 days this coming week to start on the long list of bus destinations for coverage.

Anyway must dash now a brew is ready and I want to get warmed up , its still raining outside, had enough of Christmas the decs can come down tomorrow!
