Our usual thanks to the volunteer staff For probably only the third time ever at Boyle St Manchester the Sunday return was better than Saturday, mainly I think because foul weather stopped many good customers attending yesterday. It's a long weekend starting with set up Friday afternoon then all day Saturday and the inevitable collapse after lunch when everyone vanishes and the languor of Sunday sparked up a bit this time thankfully. Little wonder then that most people have had enough mid afternoon and want to start making tracks home. For us it's no great hike but even then a pile of internet orders at home wait to be completed, one bag full by yesterday evening now another bundle, I'll hopefully be able to clear them all for Mandy, we really relish the idea of knocking off the alarm tonight, I'd better not forget then. The weather has now eased but little comfort to the many thousands flooded or without power. I took a look at the forecast going forwards this week mindful of filming opportunities and it remains variable, a possibility is that I'll get away late morning over to Liverpool docks where sunshine is promised but then it was promised last Friday and clouded over 100% on the A50 near Derby. I has suggestions today that Pontefract and Castleford would make a good duo to film, if a day looks suitable I may just try them always looking for something different. We were down a bit on last December at Boyle St but with the net sales probably the same, it's always a good chance to catch up with friends and share experiences and share knowledge. I'm trying at present to get on the subscription list for the Jotus model Bombardier buses, its strange that by the time you hear they have often sold out, same problem with those from Australia. I did pop out in the afternoon and take some shots outside Boyle St, an eclectic range of visiting buses and some very good ones indeed. Our usual thanks to the volunteer staff at the museum for providing such a great weekend. Comments are closed.
