A look inside a family run business, yards from the M6 in Staffordshire, which caters to commuters, motorists, locals and road workers alike. Bosses Chris Lewis and his wife Dawn have recently handed over control of the hotel to their daughter Emily, but Chris is having trouble stepping back. Plus, the establishment prepares for one of the most important commercial nights of the year, Valentine's.

Well it has been a long time coming ( over a year) but at last the Motorway Hotel series starts next Tuesday C5 7pm. I'm pretty sure we won't be on the first episode but looks as if we'll be in Albania when our episode is on. We have never done TV work before other than the odd news report  so a whole new territory and obviously over a year has passed and we have moved on in many respects. They usually go for a jokey approach lets hope we don't come over too manic. Dave and Mandy will look forwards to signing autographs and don't forget as it is truck orientated Dave will be at Gaydon truck show this Sunday so if you haven't already said hello now is the time to speak up. Seriously I think we shall be 100% embarrassed , it is always hard watching yourself. I was down at Shrewsbury today and had a jolly good IPA tasting at the Abbott hotel.  Anyway go easy on us, it really was hard work and we never really 'got' what they wanted but they certainly got a whole lot of material.

Anyway I've nearly finished the films from the visit to the North East earlier this week and have now completed the NWVRT Open Day film as well.
