Another day of rain, if it stays like this we'll be building an ark soon, the garden is too soggy to even walk on the grass, the farmers haven't enough feed in reserve to keep the animals that should be living outside by now. I decided to stay put indoors and try a bit of catching up with filing the photos away, I've got another thousand or so on our Smugmug site in addition to those I loaded yesterday. Considering I created the site to meet requests for my still photos it doesn't seem to be paying its way very well albeit it does perform the function of back up cloud storage and they always seem to look at their best viewed on that site.
We've stowed Mandy's wheelchair in the PMP wagon and the lunch box is going in next, when we do Cobham at Brooklands the next weekend we'll be using out new tent for the first time, we had hoped to have a practice run before we go but with the atrocious weather its been impossible. As well as getting a lot of photos sorted I did get a whole clutch of truck clips on to our Youtube channel from Mauritius and Kong Kong taken 2001 and 1997 respectively. I know lots of people are looking forwards to the film at Dover, hopefully it will be 'warm' enough for Mandy to have a sit in the sun while I'm at work, Dover might be a dump but the promenade especially near the marina is very pleasant . We had a sudden deluge of orders today as well as rain, all have gone off in the post this afternoon, that's two batches away in one day.
I have got a physio appointment next Monday so I won't be going far that day, that still leaves Tuesday and Wednesday , Thursday we have appointments in Ellesmere Port plus the Polio Fellowship meeting there, going to the opticians, my eyesight keeps changing, hardly need the specs now. We got a letter from Mandy's cousin on Vancouver Island written in December, arrived today, not sure who had been holding that one.
Then at the end of next week we go early Friday to London if possible filming Friday and Saturday ready for the show on Sunday at Brooklands museum, everything is very weather dependent we shall never be getting ourselves wet and stock ruined like Showbus and Heaton Park rallies in 2017, which is of course what prompted us to get a decent branded tent for the few remaining rallies which are worth attending. The calendar is nearly full for this year, I do need to fit in a film trip to do the trucks around the South of Ireland. Still on holiday from the ministry course, particularly as I've got my assignment in over a week early, I'm having a look at the shorter final piece of work they require which lays the dust on that episode, nice group of folk I've studied with but I'm no scholar and have a decent disrespect of punctuation and capital letters and the distribution of commas! Lets have a favourite place for tonight's slides, well that is Cuba for sure, off we go - its out 2011 coverage.
