It has obviously been something of a traumatic couple of days learning that Jim O'Grady my father has died and not being able to get details but this afternoon I was really wrong footed when after a couple of hours working on the finishing stages of the display room the phone rand and there was this old Scottish chap mumbling on about noise on what I eventually established was a Kelsall rally film. His complaint was that there was noisy machinery and people sometimes walked in front of me, it took the biscuit for weird complaints hardly peace and quiet at the worlds biggest vintage and classic lorry show just up the road from us at Kelsall. As he bought on Amazon I guess he was angling for something free as he then said he wanted more, I just refunded what he had bought and requested he desist from buying more. It really throws you when that sort of things happen, I'm so annoyed I'm trembling. Still it takes all sorts but what with being attacked in Redditich last week the whole business is turning sour and perhaps it is getting time to call it a day and retire properly. I've got the wall cupboard painted, the one we struggled with yesterday afternoon, I've done some touching up and sanding ready for a final coat of gloss on the woodwork in the new room. The DVD orders have gone really quiet after what we presumed was the start o the Christmas rush, certainly on Youtube it is busier than ever but an unreliable source of finance for PMP as they can cut you off for no reason, last time was because we had our old silent archive material on which thousands enjoyed in a whole raft of countries. It hasn't vanished and can be downloaded from our shop. We've just done some shopping at M&S at Handforth Dean which is near Manchester airport ( noisy there as well I bet). I was thinking of using the fine sunny weather this morning to film at Seaforth docks but it was that cold I thought I'd pass on it and carry on with my jobs indoors. I did have to do a bit of gardening though as the extreme rain yesterday had made a climbing rose collapse from the side of the house, had to get up the ladder for that. The garden has dried out considering how much rain we've had which probably won't last as more weather is on the way perhaps even snow on the hills. Well lets celebrate noisy Kelsall with a look back at this relatively unknown major show which has people walking in front of cameras occasionally and is perhaps a tad noisy particularly near noisy machines!
