Then it was on to Stoke where the wind was cruel and the cold bitter despite the sunshine. Lots of new things to see there mainly on the operator and livery front where First seem to be going in the own direction locally which isn't a bad thing lets hope it happens in other places. We are off out tonight, all suited and booted to go so a hurried blog. The DVDs are ready on Stoke and Derby and have been added to the shop. They will be on sale together with masses of our DVDs and photos at the PMP sponsored POPS rally at the Britannia Stadium at Stoke tomorrow when we''ll have a mega size stand for you to peruse. Some photos first tonight from Derby, we are hoping to get clips on Youtube this evening including the Selwyns shameful driver. PMP featured on the Hong Kong news channel last night.
Take this in Scotland and you could be locked up for a year so it's good job for law and order and sanity that it happened in Derby. The National Express Selwyn driver who will not really appear even without his board in front of him would have been very hard to pick out had he not taken the crazy route of hiding behind his board and driving out of the bus station like this. Anyway you can tell he isn't up to the caliber of the East Midlands drivers, they almost to the last lass and lad returned smiles and waves and helped restore ones faith in human nature. The buses are all well turned out and what a colourful scene and plenty of different operators so don't go telling us everywhere is the same as nowhere is like Derby or Newcastle or even Stoke for that matter. We met up from the chap doing the community memories film project on Derby and handed over the well transferred and edited version of Derby buses and trolleys together with Trent which all came about due to someone stealing our material on Youtube, now they've got better shots and the other guy has lost 50K hits he should never had in the first place.
