After Walsall I travelled on to the wonders of Wolverhampton from where earlier this year I updated our coverage of the Midland Metro. This time though we are firmly on the buses and these days it means going to several different spots to try and get a sample of all the different routes since the new bus station doesn't get used by all the buses services. I can't help but wonder at all the young men wandering around mainly ethnic who don't seem to be working, what was a mainly Asian preserve now seems to be sprouting a darker shade. Well I must crack on with getting more 16mm film copied, I've just done a US navy film on their early ballistic missiles and now another version of the Pan Am Mexican Wings to series with great colour and sound. I've lots more to do before I can start listing them, therer must be a couple of thousand pounds worth with the best being the pre war footage of HK Macau and Phillipines. Lets start with Walsall today. Taken on about ISO1000!
A slightly less cold day but much damper but thankfully no sunshine and unwanted shadows. The large external storage Seagate drive is still downloading from the other 2 TB disc from the same source but the new one takes 5TB which is the largest I've seen. This should take all the rest of the material since I went HD. With everything on one derive I can copy the material to other drives for back up but it does allow easy location of films. I am putting together a 'resource' of other material not always transport related but which may well appeal to similar types of collectors, particularly by country and industry. Early releases planned include oil & gas and British industry under our saved from the skip series. Well it was a fairly early start, Mandy went off swimming while I headed down to Walsall where it was foggy to start but plenty of activity first thing and both bus station locations had their own interest, I wonder if everybody going there realises there are two locations to visit.
