I got the last of the recent shooting sessions on DVD with clips from Kirkby on youtube, back to the Scottish archives next perhaps and I may get time tomorrow for something along the way. I lost out on EBay bidding for another bus yet another rare one from the Hungarian collection, I also noted that there is a Liaz and ZIU trolleybus on EBay by Techno Park in Russia. Here are covers for recent releases, everything is on our shop and tomorrow a sale starts on EBay.
The day started well other than the continued autumnal weather and as well as getting prepared for my visit to Darlington tomorrow and lots of training requests sorted and some documentation for offshore tweaked it then went down in the afternoon. I did manage to shoot out and get my hair trimmed and some sunflower kernals for the bird feeders. The tale of the booked and almost immediately cancelled lOT Polish flight to Moldova went from worse to worse, LOT are pretty rubbish, Martin Rickitt had booked direct thinking at least there would be better communication but he has still received no notice from them, it would be fine if he had waited until a day before to log in and get boarding cards at least I was able to pint out if not solve the problem. When I rang this afternoon LOT gave ke the run around and took about 15 minutes to answer the phone which was the warm up act for Opodo who not only are rude but very dismissive and it takes two working days to issue a credit why when it takes a few seconds on our credit card machine at PMP, all they want is your money and accept no responsibility for what they sell, they didn't even stay on long enough to look or even promote alternative flights from them. In the end I went direct to Ukraine I A and this took only seconds and hopefully will fly only problem is that its from Gatwick and I'd booked a hotel at Heathrow with Booking.com which I use as you can cancel them but this time you can't and it's Hilton who are more rude than Opodo and LOT put together. Back to Premier Inn and Whitbread who invented bad service but better the devil you know sometimes and with Travelodge snapping at their heels now perhaps they will have to learn about service as well a lesson learnt by Ryanair whose profits soared after they decided to take care of passengers rather than slag them off. Anyone who saw the picture of the Traffic warden sticking a ticket on a wheelbarrow at the side of a road must realise that Britain is now in terminal decay and beyond the point of recovery. This plus the behaviour of the driver in Norwich on Saturday once more confirms the worst about our country or those bits which are still just about bound together for the time being. Just what could or will happen next we ask ourselves and cringe that the answer will come soon in this cold, wet, windy miserable place. The weather forecast is for a heat wave to hit us on Friday which given the sudden dramatic rise in temperature and the amount of water will result in thunderstorms and wipe out all we have gained but that was the D Telegraph version of reality and they follow a small African nation The Cameroons which of course are run by goons and we have the biggest of them all our guest at Westminster. I've loaded on to a memory stick ready to upload on Youtube later vclips from Kings Lynn and Gt Yarmouth, I've also put into our photo archive the results from the last few transport outings but have a backlog waiting to go on to the Smugmug still photo site where ten of thousands of PMP photos await your delight and can be ordered up as prints from just 50p and thats ow cheaper than many at bus rally prices. Talking of which the PMP van is packed and ready for our adventures on Friday, yes we are heading down to cover the outer locations of west London and Sth West including Kingston and Uxbridge plus whatever. This will be followed on Saturday by Brighton and Portsmouth, hopefully in stonking hot sunshine and sans rock concert in the middle of Portsmouth. We are having our Sunday roast tonight ahead of dieting days, I'm scheduled to be in the North East Wednesday and being off Friday and then going to France Wednesday next week time is goijhg to be at a premium. I must get the covers done for the East Anglian material and pop them on our shop. I'll put on an EBay sale before we go so we come back with a big bang or don't forget the complete DVD range is on this site plus our Amazon shop. Photos from Norwich on Saturday morning. |
