We are just about to depart to the pub, Elvis show starts at 10 and gets us through to midnight. Tomorrow of course is the Wrexham bus running day, hope I can meet a few of our viewers there, fingers crossed it is neither wet nor sunny, light cloud would do very nicely! Once again a big Happy New Year to everyone lets see what I can bring you from Wales tomorrow.

With the last two Eastbourne films on the PMP Shop I've moved on to another promised selection of films much in the same mould as the Copenhagen films this time featuring Amsterdam. We are really lucky that the Dutch Eye archive has placed much of its collection in the public domain. I hope to colour the huge resource of Amsterdam films and am also downloading material which never came forward after DVDs came on the scene. This also meets another promise that the material would never just 'vanish' even when not listed. We have a good resource to supply us. Thinking about Amsterdam how about going Ditch this evening for our slide show. Yes at last the two Eastbourne films are complete, I'm just running off the second master DVD and then I need to make the two covers. The second volume has not music but street scenes taken in Eastbourne in the era covered. As much of this programme was taken on Super 8 cine the result possibly exceed video in this period. So that was the majority of the day taken up, constant wind and rain. Mandy finally managed to get her car services, she had been all the way to Ellesmere Port on Saturday along with several other customers to find the service dept locked up. It took a bit of persuasion to get fitted in today but it is all done now. The DVD that I ripped the Eastbourne sound from is now digitised so I will add it to the list and put clips on Youtube. It is a shame that the weather has been so awful, I had hoped that I would have made it to Lymm for the lorries but it was crazy here, the dust bins went into the garden and I had to rescue all sorts pushed over on the gales. At least it is quite mild. We had a great night yesterday with our neighbours round for dinner. The chocolate meringue tasted gorgeous with the cream and raspberries on top, and super news for me there is enough for me to have some more tonight. I'm also going to put a film on the OTA Youtube channel. It is part one of the old video which covered the earlier years of Blackpool trams, the whole 90 minutes will go on as HD 50fps and sharpened up with AI. So for tonight lets have some Eastbourne shots to get us all focussed on the last productions of 2023. Greeting everybody, we hope that your Christmas so far is everything that you hoped for. We had to get up a bit earlier than we like but the service at St Wilfrids is at 10am. Quite a good turnout. Well back at home I've been finishing off the latest DVD which is Eastbourne Part 1. The trailer for Youtube has already been loaded, just the cover to make, I'll get Part 2 done over the holidays. Meanwhile I'll be able to get trailers for the latest digitised material on to Youtube before we turn back the clock again. As we are going to be dealing with Oxford and Dublin lets head there in other eras for our slide show tonight. First Dublin. And next to Oxford Just click the link and you will be with your old mate Dave with his greeting for Christmas. I've just about finished part one of the Eastbourne Buses Archive Window on the paste which should go live on Youtube and our shop tomorrow. Meanwhile we hope you are enjoying a lovely Christmas and we'll have our yearly review and look ahead next week for New Year. Photo Lower Peover 2017.
I've always managed to get around the window blinds when I decorate , working around them but bless his cotton socks our decorator took them down and left them as the gloss paint was still wet. The job of getting them back up was slightly trying so although it was pub night last night we had a bottle of wine with our lasagne this evening. Well the new artificial tree has been erected, looks better than the one in Trafalgar Sqaure. Mandy got it at a bargain price and looks the bizz! I hope to be bringing you a Christmas blog which I'll compile tomorrow and then for New Year our pick of the tops and the wooden spoons. Anyway I've been trawling through Christmas past and have found several, in fact we sat in the Crown last night trying to list all the overseas Christmases. So off we go then. Yes, Sri Lanka in 1980 was our first one away from home. The last steam trains were just about running. Another few wasted hours and money trying to get the still photos down to the transport library, it may be that a drop box technique is suitable but the files come in at 890GB. Anyway I'm sure we'll get there in the end and I'm going to concentrate on getting the Eastbourne archive film done at the very best quality that I can. Such a pity that more film from the Blue and Yellow period hasn't surfaced over the years. Anyway we will be showing John Bishop late cine film from Eastbourne which gives a different perspective over the period when I first started video. No more orders, we went shopping this morning, M&S was horrific at Handforth Dean. The painter has finished the hall stairs and landing for us, need to let the paint dry and reinstate everything tomorrow plus put the inside Christmas tree up. Also plan to do a film for Christmas / New Year for Youtube/Facebook. Can't ramble any more as it is pub night.
