We got the bulk of the DVD orders packed up on Sunday so there was just a few stragglers which came in overnight to sort. I've been scanning more cine film today and downloading the material for our Christmas special. In the end I decided there was so much material that I would limit it to trips in the 1990's which gives quite a good spread mostly Australasia, Asia and the Sub Continent. Some really cracking bus and lorry material which should benefit to a bit of tweaking and adjusting to a wide screen HD environment, there will be plenty of trailers to go on to Youtube but tomorrow I'll be filming lorries at Wakefield, another destination for lorries will be Newark to get the sugar beet traffic and there are plenty more. For buses I might get over to Scunthorpe and Grimsby and then as we get to December I'll trundle down and pick off the remaining hot spots like Swindon and Bath and perhaps even High Wycombe which has escaped me after several aborted missions. With a bit of handicraft and plenty of card I've managed to make something approaching what will be a bit care worn offices and a under cover waiting area for the express services at the bus station, the other side is a supermarket, it marks the transition on the diorama from the 50-60s to the 60-80s and some careful grouping of vehicles will hopefully make each little scene reasonably set in a correct period. I'll keep the pictures coming now there is more to see under construction. I'll make a start on painting the concrete bus shelters, they will go on concrete slabs, I've already got lamps which look like the Wrexham ones although it has no pretensions to be in North Wales it is always well to keep a prototype in mind. My weathering powder set arrived today, I can't see much time to play with it yet but I feel some grubby vehicles on the way and sooty buildings arising. Comments are closed.
