Another dark evening with the heating just building up to think this time last year I'd be on my way home from a day at the W place. Anyway thankfully all that is behind me . I have been very busy trying to get the final batches of Standard8 cine finished on Ebay and clips on Youtube, just another 2 hours worth to put on it's ready when I've finished the blog. I couldn't do anything first thing today as we had our yellow fever inoculations booked at Knutsford, they were running a fair bit late but the nurse did manage to accomplish it without me really feeling anything untowards.
When we got home and had a brew the sun was still shining so I popped down to Stobarts new transport HQ on the way to High Leigh and found a handy place to park the little IQ car and got a few minutes of film done before the clouds came over. I decided that it's a great road but I really need to be at the little roundabout to get them slowing up a little, the proportion of waves and flashes from the drivers probably reflects the benign status of Stobart upon other operators and general morale plus Stobbies have masses of new MAN truck here. As soon as I get a settled day I'll get a film rattled off here although all I managed to get pics of were these two Scanias. The story here is my old Canon G12 which has just about bitten the dust and I'm awaiting a new G16 which I think is about to be replaced itself but will do me as its cheaper and has a rapid fire capability which the old one struggled with when high speeds or ISOs were selected while it rendered shots. I'm just about to check the weather, if its cloudy it will be buses at Chester and Wrexham which will be pleasant not to have to scurry out of work at lunch time to accomplish. Wrexham was the scene of a sad attack by the bus station security thug on me over a year ago, I don't know if the got the contract renewed but I did work with the council dept responsible to ensure they fully understood the consequences, the police must have know the attacker they let him off with a 'talking to'. Looking forward to the new camera but I'll struggle on with the old one, it is fine on auto setting which just precludes at speed shots although there probably is some sort of sports setting but I haven't even looked. Next door have got a cowboy with a tractor and excavator to dig out their front garden this afternoon, late on its pitch black and its still ongoing, no safety, no nothing, trailer back held by bit of string.
