I've just edited DVD 3000, now if that's not a milestone what is, give or take a few either way it's got to be nearly 3000 films that I've edited since we started at the end of the 1980s with video and follows on from years taking and selling transport photos and selling scale models starting back at the PSV circle meetings in the then newly opened Boyle St museum in Manchester. Nearly 40 years on we are gowing from strength to strength and with a huge internet following surely have the largest library of transport films all unique to ourselves. We had a lay in, I'd found it hard again last night to settle down with the constant coughing when trying to lay down so I took medication which carried me through to morning, Mandy is coming down with a cold now and also coughing lets hope hers doesn't head in the bronchitis direction before we get off to Cuba mind you we won't be going anywhere if the traffic control don't get their act together after the melt down Friday afternoon over South East England. I've list all the West Midland DVDs on the web site, I'll update the lists on the net shortly, the new issue of the mags should be out early this week, we've already got another mini rush coming through. We did Crewe and Macclesfield today to stick near home in the bright sunshine and freezing cold which isn't ideal for filming but keeps us in touch with our roots when we celebrate this milestone, it includes hundreds of videos which have mostly been reedited as DVDs and released but there are still a lot more to come from overseas visits and masses of cine derived archives to be published. Crewe was oh so friendly with all drivers waving, thumbs up etc including a Santa driver for Arriva. Over in Macclesfield where they have their heads up their bums one Arriva woman ( I think it was a she hid herself so well) managed that famous trick of holding her hand in front of her face as she directed her bus and passengers down the hill and through the lights , well done mrs a act of bravado which will possibly cost you your job and driving licence. What the hell has happened in the past 40 years, we never has this amount of flak and stupidity, well we did have Jim Berresford though, anyway thats another story. I'm glad we have East Sussex for number 3000 makes me think of my adopted mother Marion, happy days. Lets recall some Sussex days long past Comments are closed.
