Not a cloud in the sky and around 27 degrees, what a superb start for our new lorry film location on the A1 The Great North Road, the Black Cat roundabout a frenetic busy junction although work will start next year to improve the cross country part of the Cambridge, Bedford route. I hope we manage another visit before it goes to flyovers. Nice to see a very different mix of vehicles and a pleasure in such hot sunny weather and a Mediterranean blue sky. I'm trying to finish off a job for family putting tapes on DVD, once I've finished I'll start on these truck DVDs. I received a patch from Epson to get the new printer to work off the old XP computer which will save wasting extra effort tweaking them to work on the heritage or whatever feature it is called, it doesn't work well with Powerpoint and that is what our DVD covers are made on. These and other jobs constantly pile up. We have a printer lease chap calling in at 10am tomorrow after we are heading to Southern Cemetery to do our spring tidy up. The Hardy family bench needs a repaint/varnish. Another job soon is to get the paint to redo our house front door. I had a lovely call out of the blue from our good friend Roger De Boer in Birmingham, I think it involves copying some Express Dairy film, Roger is the saviour being rescuing several old electric vehicles and wrote a book on electric dust carts. He has an old float in his garage which worked in Dymchurch, Kent, it needs somewhere to be restored and displayed or better still used. Black Country living museum said they hadn't the space. Anyway lets have a few shots from todays trip to the Black Cat. Comments are closed.
