We had a splendid time at Southport yet again meeting up with friends who span our many decades sharing our hobby. I was born in 1952, a few weeks earlier in the year and I would have been born under the old Kings reign, as it is my whole 70 years thus far were led by the Queen. We were really glad we had travelled to Edinburgh on Friday, I don't think we would have got near it today. The Edinburgh bus DVD will be our tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II and is the image that was used so recently for her platinum jubilee. Nearly all our shots were with her portrait visible on the bus stop advert panels. Today the cortège travelled from Ballater through places I knew well from my time working at St Fergus. The running day today was a chance to catch up with so many friends and an opportunity to meet lots more who view us on the Youtube clips, I think Danny was the last to greet us as we took ice cream back to the car and rounded a very British day off enjoying our various interests and hobbies and celebrating our culture, engineering and heritage. Tonight we have pictures from Glasgow where in the city booze and drugs belays the tradition of good schools and high achievement in past eras. Even the bus drivers in the city cannot manage a flicker of recognition let alone a smile but thankfully they stream into Buchanan Bus Station from all parts and it is so much safer there and more friendly. Here are some Glasgow shots from Friday afternoon, the MTT running day tomorrow. I'm now preparing to share the latest HD 60fps scenes from my 1989/90 coverage of Liverpool, it takes a while to upload and save as it has had a good deal of 'treatment', clean sharp images free of most blemishes and these will go on our shop as downloads.
