A new location for PMP, never been there before, Sutton Coldfield was filmed after we visited Roger De Boer to collect his cine films for future generations deposited with the Online Film Archive at Shrewsbury. I have already copied any notes with the various reels and put them all in perspex cases with the notes. The notes will also be scanned and stored with the digitised images. They cover roughly four subjects being Milk Floats, Buses etc in Netherlands, Buses in Malta and West Midland area buses. Here they are all ready for scanning to digital. We have also today returned the last of the 8mm scanners from Coopers of Stortford, non of them were fit for use. I have however ordered one of the brand new machines which have been redesigned to take 400' reels which will make life much easier. Here are 20 reels, ones small at the back if you think I can't count. There is also a 1994 tape produced in Netherlands covering Dutch buses in 40-50's which we shall digitise, lots of Crossleys there! It is always pleasant to add a new location to our bus coverage, sample shots from Sutton Coldfield Tomorrow I'll be with OTA sec Peter Waller at Shrewsbury perhaps filling him in our our intention to go to AI video enhancing to bring older images to digital quality 60fps.
