I heard back from an old pal from work bill easby who has been retired for a few years now, he updated me on a few other friends from way back including Barry wearmouth, Mike hoad in Ibiza and Pete Bradley all long time friends from work who I lost touch with I haven't the heart to tell them just how bad things are now at work. I thought I had everything sorted for retirement but reckoned without our hr or gestapo as they would be known. I cannot believe that they treat people so shabbily although they did offer me a job in knutsford office today but I've declined as I've got the knee replacement and pension sorted and I've lostcallbheart in the company looking forward to retirement and concentrating on my own work by which I either standvorvfall rather than a bunch of back stabbing bitches. anyway we bashed our way up to Scotland through heavy rain andcsussed outvthe film situation at Carlisle north which will be fine with sunny weather, anyway when we got further up it left off raining, it was a bit quiet at lunchtime but the trucks started tintske off as the afternoon passed. I'm not exactly sure what I'll do tomorrow the forecast is finevfirvsaturday and Sunday. I usually cover fife buses I need to do Dunfermline but the new bus station isn't that good for photography. I hope it's a good day for sales tomorrow as we are minded to limit the visit to the one day, the number of stands seems to have fallen off again. I'll cover the museum fleet and visiting vehicles on Sunday well probably stopnoff at tebay services onbthecway back Sunday night if we make it without an aa really van. tonight we struggled to get anything decentbyoneat ended up driving fdown to the leisure parkband hadcan awful Italian meal reminded me that can harvester can be up market. tomorrow night we are trying the stage door restaurant in Dunfermline and going down by taxi its only ten minutes away. Norman at loch itty cottage has kindly provided bottle of wine tinget Reid of the taste of doughey pizza. we miss the nights with fellow transport traders atvthe halfway inn in the village and of course the draconian new drink drive laws have killed off what few nice country pubs there were inbscitlsnd we did find one on the promenade near the town but it didn't concerning meals all very strange.
