No I'm not writing directly from the bath, we were in Bath on Wednesday. This morning would have been a great time to have been at Immingham with a cold crisp clear blue sky and hardly any breeze but alas our scheduled day Thursday had high winds and rain giving dark clouds although I did get buses at Huyton bus station covered. Thankfully the hits and revenue on Youtube have turned the corner at last after a pretty grim three days. I've been putting on clips in Uruguay I took in 2011 of the trucks which was a most interesting visit for the lorries, vans and p[ick ups with lots of old British marques still around including the Leyland Beaver harbour tugs at Montevideo and all those marvelous Utic/AECs which were quite plentiful, if those don't tickle someone's fancy I don't know what will. Just a couple of DVD orders in the post today although a full bag full went off this morning. I've activated an EBay sale which starts tomorrow and runs through to next Wednesday. We've decided not to do the Dublin Port rally at Dun Loaghaire as the logistics are too tight and the cdost of the trip enormous for a small revenue and as it's miles from Dublin Port little to be gained from filming, what i do still want is a couple of days in Co Cork and Waterford plus South Tipperary filming lorries, if it doesn't get done this year it is certainly going to roll forward. Talking of looking forward I notice that a lot of rally dates have been published for 2018 including Showbus 30th September at it's now new regular venue at Donington, I hope the good siting and regularity there will encourage more people to make the trip, the Christmas cracker event at Manchester we now have the entry form for, prices have risen yet again although they try to suggest they have fallen, too much smoke and mirrors. I would say that none of the events are now certain to attract us as it seems so random as to what business we'll do in these much tougher trading circumstances. You don't get your cake and eat it as they say because so much now happens on the internet shops, people will insist on using EBay and Amazon while our own shop is the best bet and has everything we've produced on it. Amazon still charges postage and EBay just has a sample selection and is a pain to load on but that reminds me it's a job I need to do, I got caught up on the latest DVDs and all covers are done and the shop page on this site is fully up to date.
