COMING SOON THE PMP SUBSCRIPTION CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE It started very slow at Gaydon and ended with a bang. We were up at 5.30 am and had a fair run down despite torrential rain in Cheshire which eventually left off and dried up through Birmingham and arrived at Gaydon about 7.45. We set up the stand which was conveniently near the door so Mandy had good access to the facilities. The wretched tripod fell down on a leg once again, it's caused no end of damage over the years but when it works is one of the best I've ever had! It scratched the van a little bit but should be able to touch it up, I'll go to the car shop in Knutsford on Monday. Well the site was in a mess with building works overrunning due to lack of newt surveying and space was at a premium. The trucks ambled in at a very slow pace and business was zero. I hadn't expected any really, it's just it's easier for Mandy to have the van nearby somewhere to sit and pass the time etc. It's strange how we never sell anything there but sell so much lorry material on the net and post. Rallies really are a dying breed though and there were many gaps in the displays which used to have much bigger attendance but fear not relief was around the corner for those who stuck it out to the end of the afternoon. The Volvo anniversary event had sucked up a lot of trucks which together with the Steel Boys and goodness knows who else all turned up together at Gaydon in almost one enormous convoy starting just before 4pm. I had a fantastic vantage point I'd noted just minutes before they arrived, the parking was up with the camping ground. It will be a superb sequence and not many witnessed it far from the main parking area, they are mostly leaving tomorrow morning whilst we expect a lot more to arrive in the morning, a lot of low loaders were coming in full of wagons, it seems that that is now the main method of transporting them to the rally site, shame but needs must and it's hard to get multiple drivers. So lets have a taste of what you could see if you got yourself to Gaydon early tomorrow. We are just going to put some truck stock out on our main stand if you want recent regular stock items they will all be in the van just ask. You'll have to wait for the run shots.
