I bet the UK weather forcasters are willing it to settle down to a particular condition as the sun and cold are sending them right up the wall with day after day of wrong information given out but once again it seemed to work in my favour. A quiet night and sleep in to recover from the long work day at Crick and decided as it was cloudy I would go down to Hanley and have another attempt to update my Potteries coverage. It stayed cloudy but bright until I left then the sun came out mid afternoon but it was too late for me to start anything fresh so I came home just as our cleaners were finishing up. Mandy went to the doctors this morning, our doctor Clair Taylor was duty doc and this made life easier , she prescribed some stronger anti histamine for Mandy and these are already having a beneficial effect reducing the swellings which had extended right through her body into her face. Still fairly quiet on the DVD front although the cine films are selling on quite well but the standard 8 and super 8 don't fetch the money that 16mm attracts. I'm still copying as much of the Super8 film as I can, nothing really radical to report on although as expected the quality is generally much better than the other formats but of course the cameras were more sophisticated. We are out for dinner at the Dog tonight with Rosie and Barry which will be nice we haven't seen them for a long time. There is a 1985 Malta film just going through the projector but they photographer preferred piles of old stones to street scenes, this is one year after my first still photo visit, it seems funny watching people actually take a Capt Morgan boat trip I though they were just there to annoy people on the promenade! We had a scratch around for spare money to pay up for the China trip, the new car fund came up trumps for the moment! The slide show this evening of course from Hanley, nothing new really save for one D&G or Scraggs whatever! I've ordered replacement mike cover as mine dropped off in Marks & Spencers during coffee break in Hanley. Also ordered up case for the new Canon G16. Still haven't played with it, extra batteries due Friday needless to say they are different from those in G12. I've put my old Manfrotto tripod and head on EBay. Comments are closed.
