I suppose I should be thinking about linking our twitter account up to the blog but then it would be far too long I think you are only allowed to use a few words, not really sure about anything much these days but the Youtube uploads are certainly going to Twitter and lots of other places although it seems to have had scant efect on the hits for the films which peaked over Easter and are sliding a tiny bit and perhaps we need to derversafy a little to catch new audiences to our largely transport orientated viewership. Today the first of the cine collections which I've recently purchased arrived and it looks to be in good order, all 16mm and ranges between 1939 to early 1960s covering a fair selection of countires although the biggest section is on Sri Lanka which we already have quite good coverage of perhaps some of their trams and trolleys will apear, who know. Anyway lots of surprises on the horizon. The Southdown coach trip to Netherlands in the 1960s also arrived this week, still waiting for the big package from Turkey though. I've taken a few off the wall politically incorrect archive films for my Youtube uploads tonight and I must get around to putting more of my photos on the Smugmug photo sales site, see links page. The shop was updated earlier this week with the new list up as well. I took a look at seat selection on the BA site but they wanted £30 a seat to select before 24hrs out from the flight when you can check in online, bigger robbers than Ryanair considering they seem to have a monopoly on the Mexico City route from the UK. I had a really nice supportive and light hearted letter from the chief constable of Cheshire today, OK so we know they don't want complaints but its good that they listen and try to improve their relations with photographers. This of course just makes the Scottish police and legal system look even more suspect. It looks like the complaint against the Glasgow cop who racially abused me at the Commonwealth Games will have gone through to the Procurates Fiscal office which is where the other bunch of cowboys operate from, I'll try and be civil when I give them a broadside but then the thought of revenge is often on my mind after the hell they have pout Mandy and I through because some cop and solicitors want to put Nazi thugs before British citizens, I hope somebody rumbles this SNP soon before they are pinning yellow badges on people and stomping up and down Prince's St in jack boots. Packing is now under way, well almost and it looks like being very busy at work, we couldn't get through on Skype to Max and Tina last night and it seems to have gone in 'gone away' mode which has happened before but we know they are there. The temp hit 20 late this afternoon, I popped out at lunch time to have a look at the Expressway / M56 junction at Runcorn, we can pretty well forget that spot now it's a building site, a good job I gave it a good hammering while we could. I got a rake more of the black and white negs digitised although they still need converting to positive images, even some of our Manchester neighbours Don and Margaret in the garden. Photos circa 1980 I was woking in Ireland, several trips to arran Isle and bus trips not too far from home this time at Hanley. Comments are closed.
