The weather held fine for the day at Astle Park in Cheshire, the nearest rally to home which has good lorry content. I watched all the ring events and recorded them, so have two lots of steam plus lorries, tractors, motor bikes and cars. The bike stuff is only a small piece of it as it really isn't my scene at all. The truck/lorry content there seems to hold up but never to grow, the steam section seemed to be well up to expectations and they put on a good show, shame there can't be another angle or way to present for the final steam parade of the day rather than repeat the earlier format. The miniature railway really takes up a lot of spectator viewing area, some people spread out picnics and take up acres of viewing space. There were a lot more people than normal for the Saturday, all having watched the dire weather forcast for the first part of Sunday. It doesn't look that good for Lathalmond weekend, I doubt if we'll plan anything other than trying to film on the way to Fife and no doubt if possible I'll nip out Saturday and film while Mandy holds the fort. The missing padded DVD envelopes turned up today several days late, I think they forgot to send them first time around, the replacements I ordered also turned up but next day delivery! I put on masses of Youtube clips yesterday but still no movement on the statistics, I'll try another round this week. Good news is that Mark our IT support bod can come round Monday afternoon to get my other computer going for internet and email bringing me slightly up to date in the world of it. Lets start with some sets from the long day at Astle Patk, an opportunity of enthusiasts worldwide of what an average UK transport show mix can produce and there are many such events each weekend up and down Britain. I forgot I also covered the Landrover Series 1 commemorative show. Comments are closed.
