Greeting readers world wide, a quickie tonight as its getting late as we had a long journey this afternoon. The day was slow to start as it took a while for the sun to rise being an hour behind or in froint, anyway it doesn't get light as early as in UK. We had another search around possible photo spots and after getting the first hour of trucks yesterday afternoon we wanted to do something different and I settled on a vantage point near one of the container terminals. Le Havre is the second largest port in France after Marseilles and 5th largest in Europe, lots of activity and no hassle at all filming there, lots of hoots and toots once more thanks to all those lovely lads and lasses on the trucks, many more lady drivers than in the UK. We then set off for the journey north to Calais, did some booze shopping at Auchan as usual as there weren't any Lydlls there and then we managed to get a slightly earlier crossing than planned and we set off at a fair lick up the M20 etc and around the M25 heading clock wise and didn't come to a halt until after the A3 then ages up to the M40 when it picked up again and a clear enough run other than the roadworks on the M6 then when we finally got back up to our turn off at Holmes Chapel without any warning off the motorway whatsoever the road was closed and we had to divert back around the roundabout and come home via Middlewich. Its been good having the soaps back on Youtube after they got blocked for a few months, we've been catching up with Tuesday viewing tonight and weren't we glad to be back on English food after the rubbish you get in France, inly at our friends in Corbie is there great food. The coffee is like well I can't think of a polite word, again rare that its drinkable how people can take that awful expresso rubbish I can't think. Anyway a photo selection from Tours new tram line earlier in the week, work in the morning. Comments are closed.
