It really was a case of catching up with chores this week and we have pretty well done what we hoped to do concluding today with getting down to the Southern Cemetery in Manchester and tidying up the family graves, planting bulbs and bedding for the spring. We need to go back and top up the white stone chippings and put some week killer down. The Hardy family bench has have a few nibbles out of it courtesy the squirrels but other than that it is now tidied, cleaned and free of any leaves and debris and if you visit sit down with a flask and sandwich and you can enjoy the bedding plants just put in. The weather would have been perfect for filming but next week it's fingers crossed. We did the banking and shopping and Mandy has just been to the doctors as the tear duct op has stalled so many times that its now producing a swelling, there is a work around but we are going to put a rocket under the hospital and if all else fails will go private. We couldn't claim on it from the new BUPA insurance as it's was presented to the doctor before the new policy. There were few orders to post off which has been a bit of a break, I've located one of the DVD printing machines, a large capacity model at a good price in Northern Ireland, the chap is sending the full spec on it. The Youtube channel is doing well for revenue as its pays in US dollars thus a 15% fall against the US currency gives us an extra 15% ish on the advert revenue but still please click on the adverts and don't use advert blocker apps. The Harvest Supper went well last night, the singer Joe is a real trooper and adjusts well to any audience and has a range of around 2000 songs straight from her head, uses backing tapes of course but holds an audience well and doesn't cost too much. We could have sold a few more tickets and used more of the food but it wasn't too thin on the ground. Mandy did the door with Felicity. We have the 2 day Big Orange bus event at Boyle St museum over Sat and Sunday whilst Manchester hosts the Olympic parade on Monday. We have a few locations in sight for filming next week, light cloud is best for me this time of year, I'll update the list of destination soon. Also I'll start putting on the reduced number of events we'll attend next year. The van had it's MOT yesterday and has Pirelli new tyres on the front, Quick fit do it all very cheaply, they commented on how immaculate our van was for it's age. Now what can I give you this evening, as Staffordshire is about to be covered again lets go for that, a pot luck dip. Comments are closed.
