We arrived back home from Cuba this afternoon, a bit of jet lag after a night flight but I did get a few hours sleep courtesy of a couple of little pills, say no more - I don't think we'll be late to bed though and it feel freezing whatever heating we put on. I've got all the DVD orders downloaded ready for Mandy to start on tomorrow, I've reinstated Amazon shop, removed the holiday status from EBay shop and taken down the Christmas and New Year messages from our own pages so we can start to get back to a bit of normality. My heads spinning too much for a lengthy epistle this evening, some lovely smells coming out of the kitchen talking of which we had fantastic pizzas at the restaurant in the Parque Central i Havana as good as anything we've ever had in Italy. I think I took about 2000 still shots on the trip and around 12 hours of video, perhaps there is more, I'm filing all Novembers material on the external drive to create space for the large number of downloads required. There was quite a heap of post waiting for us at home including the passport with my Bangladesh visa for the end of the month despite the fact that I'd ask them not to send it until I was back, anyway a few last minute tweaks to make on that trip.I've got a selection of models including the new BT Bristol MW which looks a little large to my eyes, also another batch of the excellent Atlas trams and railcars and some more buses of the world including two received from Colombia which represent Ecuador and Argentina. Talking of South America I got through a very well written and exciting nmarrative of the life of Simon Bolivar whilst away. So tummy now full with a full serving or three of real vegetables which are scarce in Cuba, well otes of things are scarce there, I wonder how long the golden oldies of transport will survive, they can't all be preserved. I'll start with some Havana shots over Christmas, wish our roads looked like this, we do have the potholes already! Don't worry it gets a lot better than this. Comments are closed.
