I was glad to be able to put work behind me for the weekend as I had some juggling to do with training dates and as per usual everyone leaves it to the last minute and then all want the same dat but lets get back to that all important topic of the day that Eclipse thingey that was hyped for the last week and well , umm well I went and watched it at one of my favourite spots in the clear blue sky of Shropshire and well umm I think the light dipped a tiny bit and it fell a couple of degrees and eventually a cloud came over , anyway if that's an eclipse it wasn't like the ones you used to get when I was a kid, even got comets whizzing through the sky, if you were lucky the pier would catch fire as well, happy days sort off. Anyway there were lots of lovely truck drivers and their beautiful steeds about and isn't it wonderful that so many carry great liveries and although i didn't have time to gather enough for a programme I had a cunning plan that as every afternoon the M6 has ground to a halt back to Knutsford and up to Lymm that if I dodged the traffic coming home via Chester I'd get back to the bridge over the M6 near our house and finish of with trucks snarled in the Friday afternoon snarl up only there wasn't one. Yes that is two non events although I'm sure drivers were please with the latter. I mowed the grass when i got home as the ground was nice and hard and Malcolm over the road had done his, need to trim the edges but strimmer battery needed charging. Got a couple of photo cases out of garage and sorted through the prints I picked up from ASDA earlier in the week, all boxed up ready for Cultra. What else oh yes a new model bus arrived a Krupp coach in black from Germany, I'm waiting for the new trolleybus model, great that they now have two, look forward to more deckers in the Atlas world ranges. There are lots of new ones creeping out into Ebay. We've had a nice sprinkling of DVD orders for the Channel Islands since our film featured on TV earlier this week on the local news programme. Not sure what tomorrow holds, I'll watch the news this evening hopefully it will be cloudy but dryy, the north east continues to be at ther top of my wants list along with Norfolk, Plymouth, outer London , well it just goes on. Some piccies of the trucks near Oswestry and the new model which I need to put away in the display case and be a good boy keeping everything tidy for once. Out tonight for dinner with Mandys cousin Trish and Derek. Oh nearly forgot, Maunday Thursday dawn balloon flight weather dependent, Mandy's birthday present, her 3rd balloon flight my second. Yes more Southdown photos extracted from albums, just a few subborn ones to get free!
