I set myself a target of getting the Bus Spot Ultra Bury done by teatime and I just about managed. The next Bus Spot Ultra with by Wolverhampton and the next London on film feature will cover the days of the London Transport Board which for buses at least carried on much as the LTE era. Plenty of material to draw on but these fully archive films take a while to edit even a while to find the material. I also managed to complete scanning of two more 400' ft cine reels one which has 1964 Isle of Wight trains on , from past experience always a popular subject and location. Its been a dark, wet and windy day, but on the bright side my electric gloves have arrived, just giving the two little batteries a full charge, it is similar in concept to th3e socks only a lot more expensive. Another archive feature likely to be ready soon is on municipal bus operators with one pre video era and another with a lot less locations left on video. I've been clearing space for the second of my dioramas which will cover the last two decades or actually three really, doesn't time fly. I've got all the remaining boxed models out and crammed on a shelf above the display cabinet and now clearing , tidying etc the modelling materials on to the top and clear space to start. It will feature a modern bus station , a park and ride facility and a depot. Needless to say these will be unbranded so they can cover plenty of different arrangements in years to come. Without the lock downs I doubt if I would have got what is already done, well done - blimey I sound like Boris get that diorama done. There will be shops boarded up for sale or let, dossers in the doorways and all the other wonderful advances like blocks off flats and multi story car parks. As with the first there won't be room for everything and I've a couple which are carry overs from the last effort. I need to get a couple of covers done and file still photos plus the videos I scanned the other week. The to do list never gets to an end. The lawn mower service people were supposed to collect it, pitch black now I've pulled it back round the back of the house, can't see them coming now. Mandy triumphs over the HMRC over the tax on our house letting in ROI, they came up with a demand for over a hundred pounds, normally its a few pence on currency conversion from Euros. Because it is reciprocal with Ireland where we pay tax on it there is nothing to pay in UK but you have to put in a self assessment form which they usually help us with. They did it over the phone but messed it up, we never got a reply so took it to our MP Esther McVey, although a bit on the right of the right she gets things sorted, a full apology to Mandy and a PAYMENT OF £50 from UK Tax to Mandy for all her trouble!!! Photos are stills from the HCVC film which is ready other than a cover

My grandson is Dave Spencer's biggest fan. He has a chromosome disorder and is obsessed with buses. He looks for you when I take him to bus station for a day out and would live to say a socially distanced himself. He is 7. Please could you let us know if you visiting any bus stations in east Lancashire thank you Comments are closed.
