We just need to make the cover for the Bus Spot Ultra West Bromwich and that will be ready by the weekend. following on quickly will be the visit to Bolton on Wednesday. Tomorrow I hope to visit more North west locations which I'm trying to select from our to do list looking as far ahead as end of June. I'm always flexible to a couple of months especially if there is something of interest. After the nasty encounter with the gargoyle of GMPTE yesterday I had an epic onslaught from a woman down in Kent through Amazon. I cannot see why anyone would persist in depriving us of the revenue to support our work which is bad enough. This woman was chasing up the delivery of a DVD sent a couple of days ago and that touched the light the fuse button. She responded with the most venomous communication I've ever had, the name was Chelsea Pilbeam of Kent. I didn't argue just gave a refund as you do on Amazon, its like blackmail, you have to give in to avoid a bad revue. Amazon stinks, sellers get no support at all. I had a problem well still have, when we get more than one Amazon order the last one processed marked as sent never registers so next time I log in it is sitting there awaiting dispatch - only I've already done that bit. Try telling that to Amazon, rather akin to putting pins in your eyes. Another woman phones, quite irate, she 'requested' two DVDs the wrong one she states was sent, except of course I'd sent the programme numbers requested. At Christmas we got two complaints from women on Amazon that the DVDs were 'second hand' , impossible as we only sell those we compile for rally sales and nothing is on hand assembled for orders. What are they getting off on, I guess their partner, son, spouse etc would be horrified if they knew of their terrible behaviour. Why is this stuff on Amazon, nothing really awful on EBay although we sell little on that platform these days, they try and treat us like street hawkers, demanding discounts and wanting things for free. Again for a quiet life we send the one they really wanted, more money down the drain, we don't keep stock as many will know, we compile them to order. With PMP being a non profit business basically supporting the ever growing archive of what is fundamentally a hobby if we stopped now we would be better off. One day I really will pull the plug. Of course most of our customers are also friends, we often chat when they phone or see us at rallies or exchange notes with orders in the post, it is pleasant and rewarding but like the venom which gets thrown about on social media I am not here to receive abuse. This is why we stopped Youtube comments, again only a very few really nasty ones but who is going to accept death threats. The sites like Facebook and Youtube care nothing for anybody , only when forced to 'care' by various authorities and the mainstream media. If I don't appear on blogs for a while you will know the line has been crossed!! Here are the shots that we got despite Mr Blakey at Wigan. Comments are closed.
