A very early 4.30am start and then straight down to Bristol which has almost seen the completion of the ruination of the city with an acre of skateboarding land created around the cenotaph and the buses channeled into every narrower lanes and back roads and bus information on what goes from where etc beyond my simple brain, a load of cobblers is probably a polite way of describing it, I was goinmg to try and get to the railway station as someone said I'd see some different routes but I gave up trying to find how to get there and a signpost pointed in a direction but had no distance indicated not did it feature on any of the bus transport stop location maps. I'm not sure what happened to Wessex, a few ones in worn out livery bumbling around, looks like it's folded though and First have the filthiest old wrecks in the country other than in the snowy weather that I've seen this year, they seem to have collapsed into apathy or there is a new fleet of 100 buses arriving next week. I got assaulted at the triangle by an old lay who crept up behind me and emptied a bag of food on my head, the police were quite responsive particularly as I had a full description and witnesses but I think she had health issues. Cardiff was a joy, the most friendly drivers I'd ever encountered for a whole visit consistently waving and smiling back and lots of buses ( clean) I assume there is a bit of a bus war with NAT in competition. There is still no sign of work starting on a new bus station and I gather still no plans to start in the near future. We had our PCC Standing Committee meeting at our house tonight until 10.30 so its been a long hectic day. Photos from Bristol this morning rush hour onwards. Comments are closed.
