Welcome to this brief post as we are in a bit of a rush having an important engagement at St Oswalds with a concert of medieval Christmas music fund raising for the installation of the toilet at the church which has taken several years to gain planning permission. Mandy was most cheesed off to arrive back home this afternoon and find she'd got a speeding ticket from Brighton last Monday, really unfair as she was only just over 30 and never saw any camera, I'm sure we'll find a method of revenge on Sussex police, its seldom that we let this sort of thing go unanswered, a little time may elapse but this sort of tax raising hassle is more then she needs. Anyway it was a great day at Boyle St and lots of people agreed that it is almost like a social club meeting so many old friends or should that read friends of long standing who are just getting older, hmm may be digging a trench here. We had a good morning of trade which slackened off after lunch , lots of chatting and catching up and although I didn't manage to get outside I'll certainly be taking a look tomorrow as Sunday often sees a few visiting buses as well as the museums own free shuttle. I forgot to upload the clips from the latest West Midlands video last night as we'd got stuck into Christmas card writing, I came home tonight with a handful received, the Christmas trees are all up and lit thanks to Mandy yesterday, goodness knows how she dug up the live one from last year I'd planted out, it had sprouted right through the pot. Dinner is nearly ready so I'm poised to dash. I got a couple more of the Atlas trams from Boyle St also handed over Peter Gasgoynes films and the DVDs I'd copied them on to plus handed Glenn and Carl a copy of the photos I'd taken in Malta. Mandy has got all the DVD stock to replenish our sales boxes at the museum and we've downloaded all today's orders from the net, not so much coming through now but it has been quite hectic. Hopefully we'll just about match last years Christmas event which offers some hope as we approach another year of the countries longest recession. Looking ahead to more of the 2015 dates there are a few clashes on dates of events for instance Detling is the same as Boyle St in the spring. Mandy and Sue will do Cobham while I'm away. As we are in Manchester this weekend a few regional shots and then I really must upload those clips. Hoping that its warmer tomorrow minus 4 this morning when I got up, feet cold all day at the museum. Comments are closed.
