We have to be nimble on our feet and willing to adjust our plans at short notice often due to the changes in weather. This week was no exception and next week has already had to be changed. As we never managed that much bus coverage over the past week we made up for it a bit by heading over to Nottingham this morning and managed to get almost totally sunny shots save for a few clouds. There was a cloud over the trams though as a van pulled out ramming a tram and bringing the line to the station to a halt. There were plenty of bus enthusiasts about, I understand some new gas buses were expected to come into service but it didn't happen, me ignorant of the chat group scene etc would never have been aware in the first place but i do know that the clips from our 1998 Mumbai programme about to appear on our new subscription channel attracted over a thousand hits on it's first day which demonstrates the world wide interest in transport which we are trying to tap for best advantage and to support the extension of the PMP archive. I'm downloading the Nott8ingham film and hope to have it edited this evening. On our way back I called in at St Oswalds and to my amazement the plumber was working away on a Saturday, there is actually a toilet and sink in place, floor tiles laid out and walls painted but still far away from the project completion promised this week. Knutsford construction hasn't done the project any favours at all. I'm also trying to download all the photos from the last three film trips as they seem to have mounted up, with heavy rain across Britain due on Monday it may be an opportunity to catch up filing the still shots. The computer crashed twice due to power surges while I was downloading the photos if I was BA there would be instantly thousands of passengers stranded world wide . I was going to do two long distance film trips Monday and Wednesday, with Monday looking griim it's down to Wednesday the rest of the week is already taken up. Mandy is going away after Gaydon for a week in Ireland, I hope to do a three day trip to the South East and do a grand catch up from Kent to Hampshire if the weather plays to my plans. I'll then head home and catch up but it is possible that I might head to the truck location surveyed in the east of England last year when I was one my way to Kings Lynn. Watch this space as they say. Well if the photos are downloaded I'll bring you shots of Nottingham from this morning. First though the toilet at St Oswalds. Comments are closed.
