I'm just burning the master disc for the Tickety boo series Remembering Crich Tramway Museum 1960's - 80's, it has taken quite a long time sifting through the available material and discarding anyth8ing which didn't make the grade for quality. We have an hour covering the early years in the mid 1960's through to 1987 the year I started taking video. The Crich Extravaganza was one if not the most important event for transport in the era I became interested and it was an impressive sight and I remember taking the early sales stand of what was to become PMP with photos only, the stands wended their way up the access path. If the wind blew everything was caked in white dust. There were cars as well as buses, steamers, balloon trips, aircraft displays and thousands of people. Here is a simple slide show of screen shots from the actual cine film scanned here at PMP. I haven't had time to tidy the pictures up and filming tomorrow will probably be lorries if the weather is suitable and I will be watching out for weather to get the year kicked off with bus films despite all the terible Corona news, we now wear masks at all times out side the vehicle.
