As you'll gather it's been a stressful day in parts mainly due to the awful Ebay and Paypal computer programming which decides to randomly change peoples emails to something the algorithms seem to prefer. So my email is [email protected] and they change it to a format like [email protected] which doesn't exist. They had both done the same thing and both blamed each other meanwhile payments from overseas buyers were just sitting stranded in never never land. To cap all this I'd been trying to access my online investment portfolio which I hadn't looked at since retiring but when I mislaid my log in info for 23 hours I foolishly asked them to reset my password. This they did and then a week later I was still trying to get in, turns out I needed to change my browser as their website doesn't like talking to Firefox only Chrome. Oh boy what a shower and load of old twaddle but on the good side the shares have shot up with the rising market and now twice what they were a year ago and even that was twice what they fell to in the initial slump way back so good news on that side of things. Mandy and I did some joinery last night late on before bed and fixed the drawer on the cabinet in which our TV is bedded. Thus we were a bit late getting to sleep but didn't set the alarm so it was gione 8am when we got up. The weather was as forecast, overcast which suits buses, I decided to go to St Helens. I like it there, easy to do, no hassle, lots of buses although nothing new. The drivers waved and all friendly-job done. Then decided to take the road up to Southport, mistake- it takes decades getting there and longer still getting back and when you are there the buses vanish down side streets, are locked in behind traffic, no bus station, no main stopping point and most stuff travels to the bigger centres like Liverpool or Preston. Anyway I'll stick what i have with St Helens a nice long running programme for you. Photos today from St Helens. I need to do a cover for the Immingham truck film and this St Helens DVD which I'm about to edit. Possibly that's it for the week now, I'm looking at walks in Derbyshire to get my knee some exercise, about 10-14 miles should be enough for a day preferably ending at Bakewell at the cafe cum chocolate shop. I've been looking up razors, Mandy getting me a new one for Christmas. End of next week we head off for France foe 4 days at Ian and Miguels place near Amiens. The week after that Mandy goes to Ireland by the end of that first week of November if not before I hope to have covered buses in the North East. Bachmann have taken EFE models on, there was already a relationship between the two. Moles killed 1 hurrah! One less to wreck my lawn, a preemptive trapping has prevented the back garden looking like a wreck again. Comments are closed.
