Thank goodness there weren't any outdoor events for me to attend this bank holiday, we have had torrential rain, sleet and strong winds all day. After the flooding earlier this year we worry about repeats. Thankfully it should calm down over night and Wednesday should be sunny in Scotland and our first visit albeit there and back in a day starting in Edinburgh and then on to Glasgow around lunch time. There are plenty more locations we shall be going to as the year progresses especially once the hotels reopen. I've been getting the final part of my second diorama under way this is the retail centre with its park and ride services. I'm trying to prepare shop frontages for 24 units based on the Kingsway kit as a template, a shame but it really is the worst of Johns kits for quality of printing but with photo reproduction from the real things it will be ok in the end , with all the closures its hard to finf 24 actual prototypes to copy so many shopsd have shut their doors forever. Its been great having company today with our friend Sue here, also had a good chat with my sister Yvonne, I hear Hythe Pier is in trouble once again with both ferry and tram in jeopardy. I have stopped work on the Romanian films as I'm having so much trouble getting a clear copy loaded, I think the old Mini Dv camera I'm using may have a dirty head so crossing my fingers that one I've puirchased off Ebay will be better, it worked fine with Hi 8 with my fancy old editing decks which cost thousands being replaved by a £40 camera from an outfit in Oldham I use but not sure if they are still there, they did all my repairs back inn the day. I suppose with Edinburgh in mind it should provide a popular subject for a quick slide show this evening, enjoy! Comments are closed.
