The photos tonight are from Grimsby this morning, another busy day of course although I slept in to 5.30am for a change then headed off across the M62 through high winds but not much rain. I don't think there can be that much left up there to come down but I've had a peek at the weekend and the news for Saturday isn't good, heavy rain most of the day and it's the first day at Gaydon, thankfully Sunday looks as if it will be dry and even brighten up for the grand exit. So not a very good prospect although we have all our entry tickets etc and will pack the van up on Friday and then drive down on Saturday morning with a view to taking up our slot. Perhaps there will be breaks in the rain it's been a terrible week and today was a bit of relief. It was windy in Grimsby but the sun started to burst through and then I went on to Immingham where the wind was far too fierce to do much but I did meet a chap from the contractors that came from Bansha in Sth Tipp near Hil and Sean, small world - he was called Mick and tickled pink to meet someone who knew his corner of the world. Then I carried on to Scunthorpe, it was warmer, less windy and generally sunny. The drivers everywhere were friendly, lots of curious onlookers in Grimsby not so in Scunthorpe. Tomorrow we have the Polio Fellowship m,eeting at Ellesmere Port and I must get my hair cut and stock up on bird foods. We'll have lunch at M&S at Cheshire Oaks. The church toilet meeting that never happened last week has gone back to next week when Mandy is in Ireland but we've offered to try out the path etc on Friday as they need Mandy in the wheelchair to test the practicalities of the near finished product. I've had to purchase a rubber stamp for Jane to use when signing my Irish passport application as they aren't something you come across now in the UK. I've sent of my forms for the Foundation for Ministry course which will be year one of the CofE lay readers course. We need to skype Tina in NZ tonight as their daughter Nyrelle is in Ireland next week and Mandy is going to see her either on her way to Hil and Sean or on the way back through Dublin.
